Spring Sign

Project Statement

Spring Sign is a book consisting of my poetry and images I took. I use two kinds of paper: transparent paper for the poetry, and solid paper for the images. They will be in terms of my own understanding. For the photo paper, I am using a thick, matte paper. Poetry on translucent paper partially reveals the image below it. The binding is both hand and machine-stitched, with fringe dangling from the raw edges, matching embellishment on the cover. The book is 8”x6”, with irregular edges from being cut by hand.

The poems are originally written in Mandarin and I also include the English version.
