Jiabao Qiao

"Suxia" is a video interactive device that uses a projector to shine an image on two mirrors, which are then reflected onto a wall. People can change the projected image by turning the mirror. On the opposite side of the mirror, each has pasted a photograph of the artist and her mother, linked together by a long red line, corresponding to each other. The video content in the installation is about the daily conversation and communication between the artist and her mother, as well as through some abstract images, depicting the artist being influenced by her family and the changes in her relationship with her mother. The video installation begins and ends with a recorded conversation between the artist and her mother, with audio capturing the home environment in the middle. In this installation, the artist created an interactive art space by combining projection techniques, mirrors, and photographs, as well as audio recordings and ambient sound effects, allowing the viewer to experience the emotional exchange between artist and her mother and the expression of family influences. This aims to arouse the audience's thinking and emotional resonance.
